Computing rupture degrees of some graphs

چکیده
Computer or communication networks are so designed that they do not easily get disrupted under external attack and, moreover, these are easily reconstructed when they do get disrupted. These desirable properties of networks can be measured by various parameters such as connectivity, toughness, tenacity and rupture degree. Among these parameters, rupture degree is comparatively better parameter to measure the vulnerability of networks. In this paper, the authors give the exact values for the rupture degree of the Cartesian product of a path and a cycle. After that, we discuss the rupture degree of total graphs of paths and cycles. Finally, we study the values for rupture degree of powers of paths and cycles. Key–Words: Rupture degree, Vulnerability, Cartesian product, Total graph, Powers of graphs, R-set.

Tenacity and some other Parameters of Interval Graphs can be computed in polynomial time
In general, computation of graph vulnerability parameters is NP-complete. In past, some algorithms were introduced to prove that computation of toughness, scattering number, integrity and weighted integrity parameters of interval graphs are polynomial. In this paper, two different vulnerability parameters of graphs, tenacity and rupture degree are defined. In general, computing the tenacity o...
متن کاملOn the total version of geometric-arithmetic index
The total version of geometric–arithmetic index of graphs is introduced based on the endvertex degrees of edges of their total graphs. In this paper, beside of computing the total GA index for some graphs, its some properties especially lower and upper bounds are obtained.

متن کاملA study on some properties of leap graphs
In a graph G, the first and second degrees of a vertex v is equal to thenumber of their first and second neighbors and are denoted by d(v/G) andd 2 (v/G), respectively. The first, second and third leap Zagreb indices are thesum of squares of second degrees of vertices of G, the sum of products of second degrees of pairs of adjacent vertices in G and the sum of products of firs...
متن کاملComputing PI and Hyper–Wiener Indices of Corona Product of some Graphs
Let G and H be two graphs. The corona product G o H is obtained by taking one copy of G and |V(G)| copies of H; and by joining each vertex of the i-th copy of H to the i-th vertex of G, i = 1, 2, …, |V(G)|. In this paper, we compute PI and hyper–Wiener indices of the corona product of graphs.
